Today we're sharing a simple DIY?project that can be used for any sort of wedding or event: wooden table number holders! This is a super simple project that you can easily customize no matter what the theme / color scheme is for your big day. So without further ado, here's what you need and how you make these table number holders:

And here's how you make your wooden table numbers:

Start by using your wood glue on your wooden spool, covering just the base of one end of your spool…; allow it to dry just a few seconds to get tacky.

Then place the spool, glue side down, onto your wooden craft cube. hold tightly for 30 seconds, then set aside to dry.

Once your cubes and?spools?are dry (give it at least 5-10 minutes to hold) then you should add wood glue to your?wooden dowels..

Then insert your dowel?into the top of your?spool, and hold for about a minute until the glue starts to set. Make sure your?dowel?is evenly centered and straight.

After your dowel/spool combo have dried completely,?apply wood glue to one side of your mini?clothespin?and then attach it to the top of your?dowel.

Allow it to dry, and you'll have a fabulous table number holder! Just use the mini?clothespin?to clamp onto a paper table number like so for a lovely and simple way to add height and interest to your centerpiece.

Want to further customize your table number holder? Just paint the pieces with your favorite hue of paint! Try a metallic gold paint to add a little touch of glam…; you could try adding paint to just your cube, ?the spool, the dowel, or all of the above!

It will totally change the look of your table number holder. Love this project? Save it to your pinterest board!

In general with this project I would recommend doing an assembly line, following each step and repeating it for as many of your tables as you need, giving each item ample time to dry before moving on to the next step. Once the glue is completely dry it should turn clear, at which point you can scrape or peel any excess off to get a clean and polished look.

Special Thanks to Brandi Webb of Alexis June Weddings for the beautiful photos in this post.

I recently received an instructables patch and wanted to sew it on my jacket. I figured that there are probably other people out there that would like to sew a patch onto an article of clothing but don't know how, so I decided to make a simple instructable on how to do just that! If you have any suggestions or questions, please leave a comment!

Perhaps historically considered an old-fashioned fabric found in stuffy, traditional homes, toile is enjoying a modern revival — and turning heads. The design world’s new take on toile has something for everyone, from surprising color combinations to reimagined designs. On the runway, the traditional French pattern is being paired with stripes and florals for an updated mix. At home, it’s covering everything from beds to walls in a variety of decor styles, including French country, eclectic and even modern.

Now, a kitchen isn’t a super private place like a bathroom, and more than often looks on to nothing other than the back yard so it doesn’t need frosted glass or permanent closed blinds for privacy. But it is nice to have the option to cover the window for night times or if you go away or of course the floor cleaning mop dancing, plus it finishes the window off on the inside giving it a more aesthetically pleasing look.
